- Laminate Wood
This has been the inspiration for our laminates. We believe in giving back to the environment and ensuring the very highest manufacturing standards. Laminate floors do not retain allergens or dust mites, making them
hypoallergenic. No waxes, polishes, gooey detergents, or abrasive cleaners are ever needed for our earth friendly product. The rich texture, warm colors and beautiful designs of the Maxx Industries laminate collections will charm and delight you. ..and they help you make the earth a healthier place to be. Here's why:
Producing Re-Usable Floors: Laminate flooring is eco-friendly and reusable. It is easy to install and easy to take it into parts and reinstall it again. This makes laminate flooring a perfect reusable material. If for some reason your laminate floor is partially damaged you can “reuse” good laminate planks instead of throwing them away, or pass those materials on to others who could use them too! Remember, one man’s trash is another man’s treasure!
Re-Forestation: Trees are unquestionably one of our planet’s most valuable resources. Rather than destroying thousands of acres of natural forests, most modern day companies dealing in wood products re-plant what they cut down. BKR Building Products, makers of the Diamond Living Flooring collections, has just one source for all the wood they use: a renewable plantation forest which is harvested every seven years. In addition to this, many laminate companies have drastically reduced the number of trees needed for production by using by-products of the timber industry- wood chips and sawdust. In fact, these things make up 80% of the contents in all Pergo flooring.
Non-polluting/ Long lasting: By their methods of reducing and recycling waste, laminate manufacturers have greatly reduced air and water pollution in the vicinity of their plants. Another advantage of laminates is that they are totally combustible, and incinerate without any dangerous emissions. This makes disposing of old floors safe and easy- even though they’re built to last for generations. This durability also lends itself to helping the environment; the longer a floor lasts, the less raw materials have to be used to produce more.
We also offer solid bamboo flooring. Bamboo is not only aesthetically appealing, it is also a sustainable alternative to other hardwoods.
